“ There was a wide selection of options to choose from and the food was delicious. I got the sweet potato sushi and udon noodles. ”
“ Went to Ami for the first time ever on the 1st! :) Our meal at Ami started out with a salad and miso soup. Both were delicious! We were seated quickly and didn’t have to wait long to order or receive what we had ordered. The staff was kind and professional. We ordered the Sushi lovers, super OMG sushi, hot sake, and we each ordered bibimbap. The sushi here was great, I loved the presentation of the Super OMG sushi especially. The hot sake was necessary after a cold day. I enjoyed most of the bibimbap I ordered, however the spicy squid was a bit tough. My partner ordered the spicy pork bibimbap though and had no complaints! :) Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back. Edit 5/9/24: we’ve been back several times since i originally wrote this review and Ami has become one of my favorite restaurants in Bloomington. I had the Nabeyaki Udon yesterday and it was so good. Love this place and it’s a great place for a date night. ”
“ First time diners. Hubby ordered the bulgogi which was excellent and I had the 007 roll which was as well. We are not generally fans of miso soup but we enjoyed this one. Salad dressing was very good as well. ”
“ We both ordered food and we also mentioned one of our food would be shared which means we want two empty bowls. But the waitress just conceded my friend’s food!! Incredible! So we spent other forty minutes to wait for her food!! And the speed of serving is really low!! If you are in a hurry then don’t come. I’ve heard lots of people recommend here but here is not that much of my expectation. ”
“ We ordered the Shrimp Dumplings as an appetizer. I ordered the Mountain as an appetizer and the Chicken Katsu Crunch to go. My partner ordered a Dragon Roll and the Mountain as their entrees, and another Dragon Roll to go Everything was exquisite, the flavors were amazing, and the service/atmosphere only heighten the experience of dining here. Although our bill ended up nearing $100, it was well worth it for the quality of food! ”
